Can Bitcoin actually be banned?

Governments can make it harder to use. They can push it underground. But killing it completely? That’s another story.

In this episode, we break down why Bitcoin is nearly impossible to ban — and why attempts to outlaw it might actually make it stronger. Using simple analogies, like spreadsheets and languages, we explain:

  • What Bitcoin nodes are and why they make the system unstoppable
  • What a real ban would require — and why global coordination is nearly impossible
  • The gold ban of 1933 and what it teaches us about banning money
  • The Bitcoin parallel — how it would go underground but never disappear

By the end, you’ll see why banning Bitcoin is like banning the wind: governments can block it locally, but they can’t erase it globally.
