We chat with Colin McGregor-Paterson, CEO of The Oasis Partnership, a charity based in Buckinghamshire providing high quality social and psychological support services to improve people’s health and wellbeing. https://oasispartnership.org/
Our chat covers a brief overview about this substance misuse charity, some of the issues faced in their communities and why people turn to substance misuse in the first place.
Colin's intention is to develop services that help people earlier in their lives, aiming to reduce mental health issues and substance misuse addiction.
To do this he aims to work with business to support their staff health and wellbeing. (A nudge-based education service) In turn this will generate an income to support our charity to provide unfunded early intervention and prevention support.
Colin talks about how his lived experience led him into this line of work and how volunteering and continuous learning have enabled him to become the leader he is today.
