Remember when wrestling was for everyone? When a family could afford tickets without taking out a second mortgage? Those days are vanishing faster than a jobber in a squash match.
This week, we dive headfirst into wrestling's accessibility crisis as WrestleMania ticket prices hit a jaw-dropping $32,083 for two nights. That's not a typo – that's more than many fans' annual salaries or the price of a new car. And that's before you factor in travel to Las Vegas, hotel stays, food, and all those hidden fees. Even regular shows like Raw and SmackDown now cost $107 for nosebleed seats where you're essentially watching the Titantron anyway.
What happened to wrestling's working-class roots? The Vincent Mann era understood that wrestling thrived when families could attend shows together. Now, under TKO's ownership, WWE seems determined to apply UFC's premium pricing model to wrestling, forgetting the very audience that built the industry. The cruel irony? This price gouging comes during some of the most creatively stagnant programming in years.
We also tackle Sports Illustrated's controversial women's wrestler rankings (Becky Lynch at #1? Really?), Raw's repetitive Vision storylines, SmackDown's anemic three-match cards, and AEW's frustrating booking decisions that waste incredible talent like Samoa Joe, Will Ospreay, and Okada. Plus, we introduce our new "Book, Bump, or Bury" segment where we debate which wrestlers deserve the spotlight.
Whether you're a longtime fan priced out of attending shows or just frustrated with current creative directions, this episode captures the growing disconnect between wrestling promotions and their most passionate supporters. Join us as we fight for a wrestling landscape that remembers its roots and values its fans.
