Title: Choosing the Path of Peace: David’s Pursuit of Reconciliation with Saul
Anchor Text: Romans 12:18
Contemporary Quote:
*"Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of God no matter the conflict." — Unknown & John 14:27; Phi. 4:7

In times of conflict—whether among colleagues, church members, or adversaries—Christian leaders must be the first to pursue reconciliation. David teaches us that peacemaking is proactive, not reactive. He reached out to Saul, spoke with respect, and appealed to God's justice rather than taking revenge into his own hands.

True leaders resolve rather than escalate. They sow peace even when surrounded by war.

Are there people in your life or ministry with whom peace has been broken?
Ask yourself:

  • Have I done everything within my power to pursue reconciliation?
  • Am I waiting for others to make the first move, or will I lead by reaching out?
