Q: Do you take part in Lent?

Q: What are you planning to abstain from or give up during this season?

Q: If participating in Lent is something you do every year, how do you feel after the 40 days of abstaining, fasting, focused prayer time, and potential healing?

In this episode, we continue the conversation, focusing on seeking peace and pursuing it, but with an emphasis on decreasing inflammation in our bodies and in our lives and how this is related to the season of lent.

Host Paula will discuss:

  1. Inflammation in the Body: A Reaction to Stress or Harm
  2. The Role of Negative Behaviors, Words, and Actions
  3. The Healing Process

A bible verse that is shared during this episode, a powerful point to why we as Christians should take care of our physical selves and ties into this entire message– is from

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. There fore honor God with your bodies."

This bible scripture addresses the idea that Paula shares; why we must focus on our physical well being. That our spiritual, mental and physical well being are a whole to be nurtured and taken care of just the way God intended for us to do.

As Paula closes the episode she invites you to: Take a moment today to set an intention for how you want to embrace this season of deeper connection, change, growth, and healing.
