Crossing the finish line brought "instant relief" and "disbelief," as he grappled with the intense emotional weight of potential failure and the immense pride in justifying the time and effort invested.

Looking ahead, Liam expressed that while he doesn't "absolutely love" the marathon race itself, he cherishes the training build-up and consistent progression. He plans to run the Gold Coast Marathon again next year, incorporating it into a family holiday, and aims to improve his 5K, 10K, and half marathon times. Liam concluded by thanking his wife Jess, coach James "Telf" Telford for his calming support, and running partner Fraser Pope for his invaluable guidance during the race, which he believes was critical to his success.
