How do you get a casual job in Melbourne after COVID-19? In this podcast, I share 7 steps to landing a job. According to a study from UTS/Macquarie University, 61% of international students lost their jobs due to COVID-19. As of October 28th, 2020, Melbourne retail and hospitality is opening back up and NOW IS THE TIME to land a job. In this video you will learn how to:

1. Tailor your resume for casual work

2. Identify and highlight the key skills you need to land a job

3. Make a great first impression

4. Communicate with confidence

5. Find opportunities in your local area

6. Ensure you are being paid a fair wage

7. Get work that helps build skills for your future career

"I'm not an international student, who can I help?" The same report shared that more than 1 in 3 international students feared they'd have to (not want to) leave Australia due to financial difficulty. To help them feel they belong, thrive and make the most of their time in Australia you could consider:

1. Providing some time for free mentoring

2. Message your LinkedIn connections in their field and ask if anyone is hiring

3. Walk your local neighborhood street and ask businesses if they need casual staff

4. Take photos of "We're hiring" signs and share them on LinkedIn/Facebook
