JR “The Lion” Ridge talks to Bare Knuckle News about his tough bantamweight match with Chancey “Supaflyy” Wilson. In the 1st Round there was hesitation on the part of both fighters as they were learning each other’s strategy, followed by a good bit of back and forth with both taking hits. In the 2nd round, Wilson’s knuckle hit Ridge directly in the eye, so Ridge had to adjust his stance and fight on the outside to avoid Wilson’s jabs. The back-and-forth action continued in the 3rd and 4th rounds. Then, in the 5th round, his corner said, “This is it!” Ridge says after hitting Wilson, he saw blood and “the lion came out to eat!” Ridge won the bout against Wilson in a unanimous decision.

When asked who he would like to fight next, he mentions John Dodson. But, what he would like most is a shot at the Title!
