Raised by North Carolina’s Smokies, she now lives in the embrace of Alaska's Chugach Mountains. Her essays, poetry, and articles have appeared in numerous journals, magazines, and anthologies. Bloom Again, her first fiction book, weaves together a narrative, characters, and a depiction of the climate change crisis in two very different parts of the world.
