Bill Murphy is a New York City based artist working primarily in printmaking, drawing and painting. His work involves a naturalist and contemplative study of subjects such as barren landscapes, abandoned ships, and graveyards of wooden sailing vessels. Many of his works are heavily based in etching, lithography (from the stone), watercolor, oil paint, graphite and charcoal. He is a recently retired professor from Wagner College on Staten Island where he taught drawing, printmaking and watercolor painting. Bill is currently represented in the permanent collection of the British Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the New York Public Library and many more.

In this episode, we talk about how to continuously reignite the passion in your work, the significance of intuition, and finding inspiration to unravel new ideas.
