With the exception of high earning tech workers fearing layoffs, the way for the masses of low-wage workers to get an immediate pay raise is to move to the same job elsewhere. I can't understand why economists like David Kelly are unable to understand this as he demonstrated in the February 6, 2023 episode of Notes on the Week Ahead. More here on the quit rate.
