In Ireland, we love to talk about the weather. So today’s episode is part weather forecast and part AI. There was a major new development in climate and weather science here in Ireland.
Last month, Met Éireann and University College Dublin launched a brand new research centre called AIMSIR. With a €5 million investment, it’s the first centre of its kind in Ireland using artificial intelligence to transform how we forecast the weather and respond to climate risks.
