For those authentic channels and mediums who are 'born into' this work, the practice of channeling and mediumship begins between physical lives, where agreements are made between the source or sources and the individual who will serve humanity by helping others.

No one’s body is “taken over” in channeling—it is a meeting of consciousness between the source and the channel. The same applies to mediumship; it is also a meeting of consciousness between the medium and the discarnate.

The biggest obstacle to overcome is the fear that something outside of oneself can possess or control you. We all have free will and the ability to make our own choices. Nothing “out there” is out to get you.
