Correction: This is Week 11 of the Weekly Legislative Update.
Adam and Wes bring you up to speed on the latest in the fight for abolition in Missouri. While SJR 8 is still awaiting placement on the calendar, there’s good news: the Equal Protection bills, HB 1072 and HB 1417, are scheduled for a vote next Tuesday, April 29th. Also, HJR 73 has had its first reading in the Senate and still needs our voices—reach out to your Senators and urge them to reject it. Listen to the episode for all the details.

The Next Steps:

  • SJR 8 still needs to be put on the calendar
  • Call YOUR senator and ask them to support SJR 8 and oppose SJR 33

  • Call YOUR senator and ask them to oppose HJR 73 as it is the same as SJR 33.
