After transitioning at the age of 58, Joanne Monck has dedicated her life to supporting both the Transgender community and other minorities, advocating for people to be able to live free from hatred and discrimination.

The 2020 Diversity winner of the Rising Star Awards, Joanne was awarded an OBE by her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2021, for her services to Transgender equality as a global LGBT advocate and and independent advisor. She is currently an advisor to Sussex Police and travels the world to share her story.
