Edward Bern's-a name not immediately recognized had a major impact on marketing and advertising in the 20th century. Whether it be product placement, now so common in movies or tv shows, pop-up mobs with a message, suggestive advertising, planned obsolesce or other categories, Bern's was a key to making this all a reality in today's culture. His clients were major firms such as Procter & Gamble(Ivory Soap), General Motors, Lucky Strike Cigarettes, Beech Nut Packing Company and Betty Crocker.
