Transcript:

Yesterday we talked about how north-facing rooms get cool, steady light that can make colors look flat or cold. I’m Dan Hansen, and this is a Minute at RepcoLite Paints, sponsored by Benjamin Moore.

To counter that effect, you want to bring in warmth—colors that glow a little even when the light doesn’t.

For soft whites, try options like Benjamin Moore's Cotton Balls, White Chocolate, or Swiss Coffee. They all have a hint of warmth that keeps your room from feeling stark.

If you’re leaning neutral, Elephant Tusk, Wheeling Neutral, or a greige like Tapestry Beige or Lenox Tan are great choices. They’re balanced enough to give you that neutral vibe, but they'll warm up the room a bit under under that cool northern light.

And don’t shy away from richer shades—deep teals, mossy greens, even peachy pinks or buttery yellows can look beautiful here. The key is warmth in the undertones—never icy or bluish.

Tomorrow, we’ll wrap it all up with one final tip that can save you from the most common color-picking mistake people make. I’m Dan Hansen, and that’s a Minute at RepcoLite.
