This week we discuss and review a fascinating podcast that takes us into the world of Afro-Centric folklore. The Anansi Chronicles centers around the adventures of the mythological Kamau the Obayifo which according to lore is a half man, half beast-like vampire creature. We get glimpses of his existence through primary source logs of captains of slave ships among others from accounts of the early 18th century. The Anansi Chronicles combines "hardcore history" and dramatic thrilling fiction as we go along the harrowing journey from Africa to the "New World"

Also, in segment 2, we discuss some controversy on the Joe Rogan Podcast as he announces he would vote for Donald Trump over Joe Biden, and we tease a podcast that we could review in future episodes entitled, "The Cold War: What We learned" that takes a deep dive into the strained United States and Soviet Union relations that defined geo politics throughout the 20th century.
