What would Thanksgiving be without a friendly football match. The best pizza in Westchester? We, Steve and George, want to take you on a walk down memory lane, reminiscing about our hometown Thanksgiving traditions in New Jersey. From the humorously named "Racial Bowl" to the mouth-watering pie from Hartsdale House of Pizza, it's a journey sprinkled with laughter, nostalgia, and a shared love for good food.
But, it's not all fun and pizza! We transition to heartfelt discussions about cooking for loved ones and our complex relationships with our fathers. Looking back, we marvel at how our world seems a touch rougher than before, reflecting on our fathers' experiences and the importance of cherishing our bonds. We also share a riveting tale of a retired New York City cop who braved the dangers of his job, reminding us of the courage it takes to protect and serve.
Lastly, we talk about our passion for movies and their power to instill emotions and personalized experiences. We can't hide our admiration for Christopher Nolan and delve into his latest masterpiece, "Oppenheimer." We discuss humanity and storytelling, the hallmarks of Nolan's work, and recommend others, including "Memento," "Interstellar," "Inception," "Casablanca," and "Citizen Kane." This episode is a warm blend of nostalgia, insightful discussions, and engaging stories that will surely leave you wanting another slice of pizza!
