In this episode Marc and Tavarus revisit a conversation that was sparked on one of their many "power trips", this one to Spartanburg, SC specifically. What started as an epiphany moment for Marc after meeting several successful members of Tavarus's family, ended in a conversation about genetics, DNA, family traits and wealth.
It was evident early on upon meeting Tavarus's family that there were inherent family values around hard work, persistence, dedication, entrepreneurship, and the enjoyment of the "pay off". What wasn't so easily detected was the fact that all of these values weren't necessarily passed down; some where acquired, picked up along the way and incorporated at the appropriate time.
I (Marc) was also shocked to realize that our backgrounds, though starkly different, aligned in many ways as well. We like Tavarus's immediate family, were very poor early on in life. We ate from dumpsters, lived on a toxic waste dump site, surrounded by death, disease and addictive behaviors. Much of which was passed or handed down to me genetically. However, and oddly enough, we were very rich in love, family support, faith and "grit".
In this episode, Marc and Tavarus go on to discuss topics such as:

  • Generational Wealth
  • Epigenetics
  • Wealth Mindset
  • Family values and more

We also thought it would be helpful to provide the following resources to maybe help spark conversations that could lead to healthier and wealthier futures for generations to come:
