Hello lovely listeners! A huge welcome to another episode with The Menopause Gang. I’m joined once again by the fabulous Fiona Catchpowle, Dr. Patsy Rogers, Siobhan Barry, and Jo de Serrano. Today’s chat is full of real talk, practical tips, and some laughs along the way.

Meet Jo de Serrano

This week we shine a light on Jo de Serrano, a Professional Organiser based in London. Jo’s story is inspiring—after a career in banking, humanitarian aid, government work, and even leading a charity (earning her an OBE and Honorary Doctorate!), she decided in 2023 to follow her passion for order and organisation.

Jo combines her natural love of structure (thanks to ASD) and her lived experience of ADHD to help people—both neurodivergent and neurotypical—create calmer homes and clearer minds.

Jo’s Big Messages

  • No shame here! Inviting a professional organiser into your home shouldn’t be scary. Jo has seen it all and it’s completely confidential.
  • Think of it as an investment in yourself, not a cost—just like going to the gym for your health.
  • Visual clutter = mental clutter. Sorting out your stuff helps your head feel lighter too.
  • She’s not about throwing everything away—it’s about being intentional with what you keep and how you use it.
  • Her golden nugget? The Container Rule: everything has its place, and you don’t need to go beyond it.

Jo’s Free Webinar + Special Offer

📅 Mark your diaries! Jo’s running a free webinar on 6th October all about decluttering, ADHD, disorganisation and how it links with peri/menopause. You’ll pick up loads of tips.

Fiona Catchpowle

Fiona dived into the world of period pain, heavy bleeding and PMS, and how these overlap with perimenopause. Both are linked by our ovarian rhythms—that sensitivity to change in our bodies.

💡 Fiona’s top tip: Keep a journal and track your cycle. It’s the best way to tune in to your body and build your own toolkit for support.

Dr. Patsy Rogers

Dr. Patsy was on hand too, sharing her wisdom and adding her unique voice to our conversations on health, wellbeing, and navigating change.

Siobhan Barry

Although Siobhan couldn’t stay the whole time, she still dropped in with some brilliant contributions that got us all thinking.

Celebrations

🎂 A very Happy Birthday to Will (Dr. Patsy’s brother) and to everyone else celebrating this week!

💌 And as always, sending huge hugs across the globe to anyone going through a tricky time—you’re not alone.

Coming Up Next Week

We’ve got two amazing guests lined up for you:

✨ Keren Lerner – Top Left Design

✨ Sian Murphy – The Women in Business Big Show

You won’t want to miss it!

Wrap Up

Thanks as always for joining us for another episode with The Menopause Gang. Stay safe, take care, and I’ll see you same time, same place next week.
