In July 2008, 34-year-old Nancy Cooper, a devoted mother of two young daughters, vanished after what was believed to be a morning jog in Cary, North Carolina. Her sudden disappearance sparked a massive community search and a high-profile police investigation that gripped the nation. Friends and neighbors joined authorities in combing nearby neighborhoods, greenways, and storm drains for any sign of the missing mom. As investigators pieced together Nancy’s last known movements, suspicions began to grow closer to home, unraveling a story of suburban secrets, troubled relationships, and unanswered questions. This case—often referred to as the Nancy Cooper storm drain murder—remains one of North Carolina’s most haunting true crime stories, leaving many still searching for justice and clarity.

Darklivity is hosted by True Crime YouTuber Kimbyrleigha and her husband Jon. Kimbyr is a law school graduate with degrees in sociology and psychology. Jon is a production studio owner specializing in film, music, and content creation. Together, they share a passion for bringing victims' stories to life and honoring their memories. This channel is intended to be a place where viewers can feel like they are sitting with their friends who share a common interest in victim-focused true crime stories & join in the conversation in the comments. It's supposed to be conversational, not just in the comments but between Kimbyr and Jon, and we welcome you to join in; just remember to please be kind.

🎨 About Our Set:The set where Darklivity is filmed is a recreation of Kimbyr's bedroom from the 90s when her grandmother Fran introduced her to true crime for the first time while watching the OJ Simpson trial. Sadly Fran passed away in February 2023; the set is a tribute to her and a "thank you" for the curiosity she instilled in Kimbyr as a child. Thanks for being here. We hope you stay.
