Frustrations are growing around the fast-track process in Taranaki, which has grounded to a halt due to bureaucracy.

215 parties are now having their say in the ‘VTM’ seabed mining project.

Resource Minister Shane Jones told Mike Hosking that the discourse around the project is responsible for hindering its progress.

‘We're dealing with a substantial reduction in earnings, not only from manufacturing, but from oil and gas.’
