From being mocked for her hijab to being called a terrorist and getting online abuse so bad it left her scared to leave the house, Yasmeen Shadid has faced Islamophobia in Australia.

But now, for the first time, she says she has hope things might change.

A landmark report by Australia's first ever Islamophobia envoy has made 54 recommendations on how the country should fix the issue.

Yasmeen sits down with hack to talk about her experiences, and why this report is such a big deal.
