This week we have both the Supernatural 20-year anniversary AND the anniversary of Castiel's first appearance on the show! In light of all this, we figured what better way to celebrate than by discussing the legacy of Castiel and his character's impact on the show.

We talked about his introduction to the show and why he was brought in as a character, along with the different storylines he opened up over the seasons. We also talked about his impact on the longevity of the show and on viewership, as well as his impact on the fandom and the way we interpret things about his story. Finally, we talked about the limitations faced in the writing of his character and why we believe it turned out the way it did.
