ToeJam & Earl is one of my favourite Genesis games. I've had many people tell me that the sequel is a completely different game from the first, but that didn't stop me from wanting to give it a shot.

Unfortunately, the new gameplay didn't really connect with me. I loved the first game's roguelike mechanic, but this one went more in the direction of side scroller, and while it's gorgeous to look at and the dialogue is charming as hell, it's just not that fun to play.

My buddy David Rae makes his return to the show this week, and while he grew up playing this one, he's not sure if he liked it because it was a good game, or because it was the game he rented for the weekend as a kid. We don't go full 'Ecco the Dolphin' or anything this week, but the illusive Perfect Score isn't making an appearance either.

And before we panic funkingly, I deliver another edition of the Infamous Intro!

This week, someone asks if the price of a game should play a role in GOTY voting? Will games today be as valuable as classic retro games are in 30 years? And will the NHL series ever find its way onto the Switch 2??

Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 Genesis sequels: Shining Force II, Sonic 2, and Street of Rage 2.
