Dragon Con's mission is to inspire conservation leadership by connecting people to the multi-media popular culture realms of science fiction & fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film.​

Since the opening of the Dragon Con in 1934, we have had an international reputation for taking a cutting-edge role as one of the most well attended pop-culture conventions in the country. Today, there is an increasing need for conservation leaders to guide, teach, and motivate people to protect the world’s threatened popular cultures. In addition to conservationists, the Con inspires and engages children, students, teachers, and others among the general public to make the most fan fun you can have in five days.
