In the heart of Burgundy, the Château d’Ancy-le-Franc embodies the utopia of ideal Renaissance architecture.
Designed by Sebastiano Serlio, a leading theorist, the castle asserts the rigor of its quadrangular plan and the symmetry of its facades.
Its main courtyard, punctuated by pilasters, shell-shaped niches, and French roofs, reflects a unique dialogue between Italy and France.
Inside, Mannerist decorations and painted galleries extend this architectural language into a humanist manifesto.
Come and discover one of the purest masterpieces of the French Renaissance — a place where time stands still.
