It was the first hit of the night allowed by former Sox hurler Nick Pivetta, who then gave up back-to-back walks to Jarren Duran and Trevor Story to load up the bases. Masa Yoshida got the Sox on the board with a sacrifice fly and 2 hitters later Wilyer Abreu crushed a 2-out, 2-run Home Run to make it 4-0. It's Abreu's 21st of the season. Connor Wong cleared the bases with a 3-run Double in the 8th.

Trevor Story went (0-for-3) with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts, ending his 8-game hit streak. Story still has 12 RBIs over his last 9 games. Masa Yoshida made it 10-2 with a 2-run HR in the 9th.
