[EP 25-191] How much quiet time do you get these days. If you’re like me, not much. We are always occupied.
My wife saw me reading a book the other day and she complimented me for doing something other than working or researching. It was nice to pick up a paperback book and absorb myself into something other than the usual.
We are bombarded from all directions. And on top of this, we must balance finances, relationships, and so on.
It’s overwhelming, at least it can be. Are our priorities where they should be? I doubt it. But we do try hard.
At some point we must face the world. I look at all the inequities, particularly Ordinary Jane and Joe trying to make a living, then seeing what’s happening to our money. It’s appalling, and I can see why people would become enraged.
Faith, family, and freedom are our monuments, for example. These have and always will stand the test of time. But for Leftists, it’s a whole different set of monuments.
