A true renaissance man Paul Mazzolini, known to the world by his stage name "Gazebo". He came to prominence everywhere else in the world, except the US. His music was never release here, and it is an absolute travesty that the Americans never got to hear him.

I got into his work in 1985, and it was a 7 year journey to even know his name, after I loved his epic "I Like Chopin", a dark new wave electronica classic, that sent me looking for the composer, which got me into New Order, Yaz, and so many others.

He is the "Godfather" of Italian Disco, and you really can hear where so much was stolen from him and his work over the years, by so many, like the Pet Shop Boys, and Modern Talking.

He talked to me from his farm in Tuscany Italy, in the middle of wine fields, and olive orchards, about his lyrics, the poems behind them, the stories that inspired him, and the paintings that moved him. It's not too late to have this Italian classic artist move our soul with his compositions, dive in, you're welcome.
