In this sermon on Mark 9:2–13, I explore how the transfiguration of Jesus gives us a glimpse of His glory, identity, and mission. In a moment of doubt and uncertainty, the disciples see Jesus revealed as the new Moses, the new Elijah, and the very Son of God. This event wasn’t just for them—it strengthens us today when we face fear, suffering, or uncertainty about God’s plan.

I unpack:

Jesus as the new Moses – Leading a new exodus, freeing His people from sin and death.

Jesus as the new Elijah – Ushering in the Kingdom of God and fulfilling prophetic hope.

Jesus as the Son of God – The one we must listen to and behold for transformation.

When we behold Christ, we are changed. As Paul says, “Beholding the glory of the Lord, we are being transformed into His image from one degree of glory to another” (2 Cor 3:18). The question is: What are we beholding in our lives?

📖 Key Passage: Mark 9:2–13

🎧 Listen now and be encouraged: Jesus is glorious, His kingdom is here, and we are called to reflect His image.
