We spoke about bridging the gap of communication between non-disabled people as they interact with disabled people. How does the conversation begin for someone who is unfamiliar with or has never met a disabled person and therefore may stumble when engaging for lack of appropriate, acceptable and respectful language? How can we get better at inclusive language to move the needle towards greater equality and recognition in all areas of life for all people no matter our differences?
