We hope you enjoy this episode as we visit with author and activist , Leona Godin. She is the author of the popular book on BARD, ‘‘There plant eyes: A personal and cultural history of blindness.“. We know this will be a most exciting opportunity to interview Leona Godin, and discuss her work and perspective as a person living with blindness for many years. Topics will include not only her writing, but also her perspective on our ocular centric society, innovation, and advocacy.

About Leona Godin

Dr. M. Leona Godin is the author of There Plant Eyes: A Personal and Cultural History of Blindness(Pantheon Books, 2021), which The New Yorker called a “thought-provoking mixture of criticism, memoir, and advocacy.” Leona Godin writes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, and has been published in many different venues. Several of her recent publications have focused on advocacy for people who are blind.

Leona Godin has a most interesting project underway as the founder of Aromatica Poetica, an arts and culture laboratory for the advancement of smell and taste. And she creates scented/tactile performance journeys.
