Mike Duggan is the Co-ordinator of the ITRA Olympic Trail Running Working Group who is trying to get trail running admitted as a sport into the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics. This means getting a lot of people into the same room on the same agenda but the thought of our sport joining the Olympics is very exciting. We discuss the many loops that must be jumped through to achieve this goal. We also discuss the exciting possibilities for Virtual Reality and digital media to allow more people to spectate what would ordinarily be a remote sport, and in a more sustainable way.

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Thanks for tuning in! If you enjoyed this episode, donโ€™t forget to follow the podcast and leave a quick rating or review; it really helps other runners find the show.

๐Ÿ’ก For more stories, gear insights, and training tips from the world of ultra and trail running, head over to run-ultra.com.

๐Ÿ‘‰ And if youโ€™ve got questions, feedback, or a race story to share, Iโ€™d love to hear from you; send a message to [email protected].

Until next time, keep putting one foot in front of the other and enjoy the adventure. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ
