In today’s episode of Transmit Safety, Aimee is providing some important tips to help you set the right SMART strategic goals.

If you're not familiar with SMART as an acronym, it is a tool to help us set strategic goals. A SMART goal is simply a Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound goal.
I see SMART most commonly used within the Health and Safety management system, in inspections and investigations. As an auditor, I see that SMART is indeed being used, but it is rarely used well.
So, today let's go in and break down what SMART actually means in more detail and give you the tips and questions you need in order to create better SMART strategic goals.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Attainable or Achievable
  • Relevant or Realistic
  • Time-Bound
  • Connect your SMART strategic goals to the larger corporate goals

The Transmit Safety Podcast is here to help health and safety practitioners achieve a holistic approach to workplace health and safety so they can become impactful leaders and put the value of safety into action.
