Jamal Chilton was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan and ambitiously went on to pursue higher education at the prestigious Duke University, earning his degree with honors (Cum Laude). Jamal received an internship at The Golf Channel a week after graduating from Duke and quickly vaulted the ranks to lead graphics producer. His now 18 year career at NBC Sports has afforded him many networking opportunities which he has leveraged into multiple investment endeavors. One such undertaking has him owning stake in three major Hollywood film productions as an Executive Producer. The first movie “A Boy, A, Girl, A Dream” is an award nominated film at the world renowned Sundance Film Festival. It was released in theaters September of 2018. The second film, “Same Difference” debuted at film festivals summer of 2019, winning multiple awards. “The Death of a Telemarketer” recently won Best Feature Film at the 2021 Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival. In addition his venture as co-owner of Ambiance GR Kitchen & Lounge is a great opportunity to expand his already growing investment portfolio while also giving him a chance to collaborate with childhood friends to add diversity downtown and change the landscape of Grand Rapids’ night life.
