Kodachrome: songs have been written about it, parks have been named after it, movies have been produced about it. It is an iconic film that has not been commercially processed since January 18, 2011. The photo lab to make its last stand for Kodachrome was Dwayne's Photo. When Kodak gave Steve McCurry the last roll of Kodachrome off the manufacturing line, Dwayne's Photo was instantly thrown to an international stage as the last lab to process Kodachrome. I would go to say that Kodachrome's legacy is shared with Dwayne's Photo.
As we approach the 10th anniversary of the last rolls of Kodachrome to be commercially processed, we invite Derek and Josh Carter, grandsons to Dwayne, and new owners to the multi-generation family business. They share stories of the final days of Kodachrome and discuss the roller coaster ride of the renewed interest in film photography.
Dwayne's Photo still processes various formats of film (even Disc) to this day. You can check them out on their website: https://www.dwaynesphoto.com/
