Jeremiah was probably one of the bravest, yet hardest pressed figures of Biblical history. He had the most dismal task of proclaiming to his own people that they were headed for destruction. Known as “The Weeping Prophet”, he witnessed to his people for forty years yet never had a grateful or even favorable response from any of his kinsmen.
