Have you ever felt like everything around you was working against you?

In those places, it can be hard to trust that God will still show up with exactly what we need. But Psalm 23:5a reminds that even in seasons that feel scattered or overwhelming, God’s preparation is deliberate, loving, and full of intention.

Here’s what you’ll hear in this week’s episode:

  • What the Hebrew word ʿarak reveals about God’s preparation: orderly, deliberate, and never haphazard
  • How translations like The Message (“serve me”) and NCB (“spread”) highlight God as a generous Host who does more than enough
  • Insights from commentators, including reminders that God’s table is both provision and protection
  • Angie’s personal reflection on resisting the urge to “set the table” herself and learning instead to trust God’s timing and preparation
  • The lie we’re tempted to believe: “God isn’t going to put anything in order for you.” And the truth from Proverbs 16:9 that the Eternal guides each step
