Have you ever met someone whose energy was so fantastic that you knew you were in store for a great conversation?

That was Jack Sorenson. It was hard to believe that the man whose bio I'd read—battling alcoholism, binge eating, carrying 80 extra pounds—was the same vibrant, grounded person sitting on the other side of the camera.

My conversation with Jack hit me hard—in the best way possible.

I found myself nodding along, remembering my own thirties and forties when I was working a job others wanted me to have, giving more and more of myself to everyone—my family, friends, the jobs—until there was nothing left. And when you're running on empty like that, you end up doing harmful things to yourself just to keep the facade going.

Sound familiar?

Maybe you've declared with intention, "I'm taking my life back!" You set lofty goals. They last a day, maybe two, until your life sucks you back in. And just like that, life continues to lead you rather than the other way around.

Jack gets it because he lived it.

On paper, he had it all—a career as a mechanical engineer, financial stability, the life others expected. But beneath the surface, he was battling alcoholism, binge eating, and carrying 80 extra pounds, stuck in an endless cycle of starting over.

The truth? He had lost himself completely, as so many of us have.

In this raw conversation, Jack and I dive deep into what happens when we step into the life others want us to live. That lifestyle may bring income and approval, but it does nothing for our mental, physical, and spiritual bodies. We become so embedded that we lose ourselves entirely, giving everything to others while ignoring our own needs.

Jack didn't just fix his own life—he used his engineering mind to create a foolproof system that helps others break the cycle permanently. No more restarts. As the founder of Sorenson Fitness, he's living proof that transformation isn't about willpower—it's about the right system and finally choosing yourself.

If this resonates, share it with someone who needs to hear this message.
