Research efforts, including the AI & Technology Collaboratory for Aging Research (AITC), focus on creating scalable and affordable interventions for issues like social isolation, mobility problems, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The hub utilizes a model apartment for realistic testing of technologies, aiming to help seniors live safely and independently at home for longer.
