Michael Flores is an acclaimed filmmaker, writer, and creative executive who has produced award-winning campaigns and impactful narratives across film, television, and advertising. Flores has helmed numerous short films, music videos, and ad campaigns that have garnered attention for his emotionally charged, visually arresting style and commitment to telling stories of underrepresented voices and lived experiences.

“Her Fight, His Name: The Story of Gwen Carr and Eric Garner,” a documentary produced by Flores featuring the voice and vision of Gwen Carr, the mother of Eric Garner, screened at the African Filmmakers Pavilion at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, and is currently nominated for a Emmy in New York. His work in the documentary scene also earned him a New England Emmy nomination for news campaigns focusing on Boston's Medical Civil Rights Initiative.

As a real-life public school teacher, Flores also draws from his experience in the classroom to weave an authentic, intimate, and poetic film fusing cultural exploration with spiritual healing in DOGS ON THE SENDERO, his feature film debut, and most personal film to date.
