Sales is a never ending journey. There's professional sales, which is where you're making a sale in a business context, then there's social persuasion and influence, which is where you're influencing decisions but no money or business exchange occurs. People often conflate the two, but the first one is about making money and the second is about social networking, so these fields are distinct, just like the banjo and the guitar are two entirely separate music instruments. My special focus and interest in sales and persuasion is professional sales, which is all about selling in a business context.
