If we have false expectations about what we're going to get in life and don't trace it back to the way we're doing our own planting, then this is illusory. An illusory lifestyle is not very satisfying. But what is satisfying is coming to grips with how what we're planting is coming up in various ways. So, being fully aware that the seeds we plant will give us specific results, and in our lives, also, we have to be very much aware of what we're doing and how we're doing it, so we can cultivate our consciousness to the highest level. Now, that brings us to something I alluded to a few minutes ago. And in slide number five, we have this oft-repeated concept in many of the ancient literatures—the Upanishads and the Vedas, the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, Bhagavad Gītā—that human life has a very specific purpose. It's not willy-nilly. It's meant for us to cultivate something that bears a specific fruit. And therefore, we can count on the cultivation process. If we follow a system, and we're vigilant about it, we can expect something amazing. I think all plants are amazing. I'm just going to go ahead and say: I mean, how does it happen? How does it bear fruit, flowers, and come right out of the ground, and so forth? And human life can be an amazing adventure at every moment if we're invested in the cultivation process. But keeping in mind, the main point is, that's what we're meant for, according to the Śrīman Bhāgavatam, which says human life is meant to cultivate spiritual consciousness. Period. Full stop. It ends there. And if we do that, then we'll get the best fruits and flowers that will fully satisfy and nourish us.
