Did you know that a sound made underwater in the Indian Ocean can be heard off the coast of Oregon, some 17,000 miles away? Truly dive deep as my guest Michael Jasny from the National Resources Defense Council Marine Mammal Protection Project connects us to the world of ocean noise and how human actions can create sonic "smog" for the creatures who inhabit our seas. Feel hopeful as you learn what you can do day-to-day to engage more empathetically with our world. I'm confident you won't think of the ocean in quite the same way ever again.

After you listen to this episode, you'll want to watch the fascinating documentary that inspired it: Sonic Sea

But first, one small request: if you like the podcast– Will you rate, review, and share? These actions make a big difference in helping others discover this podcast and start their own journey towards learning to become better listeners & create more empathy in our world.
