On the Wednesday edition of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Christopher Carter to assess the team's situation at wide receiver.

Would a name like Marquez Valdes-Scantling -- who's been linked to the Steelers this week -- really make the wide receivers room better? Would OC Arthur Smith even use him or other possible trade targets like Chris Olave or Jaylen Waddle enough next to DK Metcalf? And has the offense improved enough with Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin III in support roles for QB Aaron Rodgers and TEs Darnell Washington, Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith to justify keeping them toward the top of the depth chart?

Our duo tackles those questions and whether possible draft capital used in deal ahead of the NFL trade deadline would be better used on a cornerback to help the struggling Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay Jr. and Joey Porter Jr.
