Hi there

In this week’s episode, we look at a case fresh out of the Employment Tribunal, which reminds you that our employment rights are there not just to support you to be treated fairly at work, but are also there to support you to challenge attempts to undermine your right to work.

This week we focus on the case of Ms Annika Robinson, who challenged disability discrimination at her workplace, after she was ridiculed and blamed for her disability and then let go from her job. This behaviour was directed at Ms Robinson because she took too much sick time away from work with a back condition. Ms Robinson took her case to tribunal and won and we take you through the key points of the case, in this week’s episode.

It's our view, that the more you are able to acquaint yourself with your employment rights in this area, the more your rights will act as an early warning system, which you can use to spot bad treatment or illegal treatment that you may be suffering at work. If you need help to formulate your complaint you can download a copy of our ‘Complaints Checklist’ here.
