Growing up in India, religion was not always something Sujata thought about, but now as a mom, she finds herself turning more to it than before. In this episode, Sujata talks about how her connection with Indian Classical dance and being a practicing Hindu and what all that means as a dancer in Western culture. Sujata Background and Bio: Sujata Martin is a Pelvic Floor Therapist who reconnected with her Hindu faith when faced with the ebbs & flows of motherhood. She uses a mind-body approach that blends the spirituality of her Eastern upbringing with her Western medical training to help womxn thrive through each stage of womxnhood. Sujata is passionate about Womxn's rights and helps womxn rekindle their self-love through in-person and virtual Pelvic Health & Sex Coaching services. She loves discussing Vedanta, binge-watching Netflix, and traveling with her family. Sujata began training in Bharatanatyam at the age of 4 and has maintained a close relationship with Indian dance forms like Bollywood, Bhangra, & Garba through the years. Most recently, she performed with Devi Bollywood Dance and was active in the Buffalo Argentine Tango community.
