Girls in Social Media and the Men that View Them
Manage series 3708301
As a long-time professor and now social worker, I have spent my adult life surveying how images of minor girls impact males. Often, we see the man as controlling the narrative, and while such is certainly true, what is left out is how legal videos and images of minor girls impact men that have 24-hour access to them. This series is not interested in creating panic around minor girls and men's access to their videos and images; rather, it is a unabashed narrative on what I found with my own life experience and the hundreds of thousands of legal images, videos, and male comments I've seen in social media over decades. In addition, I've worked in prisons and in a forensic capacity with child sexual abuse images and crimes, and what I found was a critical need for people to be educated on the truth behind the narratives supplied to us that are often reinforcing trauma and the likelihood of additional crime.
